My Sweet Aubree Joy!

This post is dedicated to my sweet Aubree Joy!  Her middle name fits her! She is such a Joy!!!  She keeps us on our toes at all times!!  These 3 pictures were taken with in a week of each other & do a pretty good job of explaining Aubree.  They always say a picture is worth a 1000 words!!

After a mud fight with Jenae.  I found them out playing in stinky ditch water.  Aubree told me they were looking for toads.  I had already given Aubree a bath & she was ready for AWANA.  I discovered this 30 minutes before we were supposed to leave the house. 

All glamored up for her Daddy to come home.  Aubree is one extreme or the other.  Kyle was out west rodeoing for 10 days.  It was a long stretch for us girls at home but we were so EXCITED to get him home.  We went to my parents house last weekend & I went on from there to get Kyle at the airport on Sunday. 

And she has crashed!!!  All that playing makes for a tired a 4 year old!!! She took a nap in her garden gloves.  She happens to call her garden gloves motorcycle gloves & wears them while riding her tricycle aka her motorcycle!

Easter 2011

We had a really busy Easter Weekend.  I do not think we could have fit any more celebrating in if we tried!  We started our weekend by getting together with Kyle's parents, Hope & Ben on Good Friday.  We went to a Good Friday Service at the Methodist Church in Chambers.  After church, Marilyn had us all out their place for supper. It was yummy as always!  Jenae was a happy to get the eggs out for Trey & Aubree to find.   Trey & Aubree had fun finding eggs & kept busy playing.  Chase & Whitney seem to be rather entertained with each other.

Saturday afternoon we went to the Easter Egg hunt in Chambers.  Kyle & Chip went to help with a branding.  Marylin came along with me & the girls to help with Whitney.  We thought it was going to be a nice day, but it was really windy so it felt cold at the park.  The girls had fun finding the eggs & playing with friends.  When we got home from town, Jenae & Aubree colored eggs.  I boiled 3 dozen eggs so they kept busy for awhile! 

Sunday we got up early & went to Chip & Marilyn's for an Easter Breakfast.  Then it was off to Sunday School & Church.  From Church we headed down to my parents house to celebrate Easter with them.  It was a day packed full of activities.  We had a scavenger hunt, blue rock shoot & Easter egg hunt.  We all had plenty to eat as well!  At the end of the day we managed to get a few pictures taken to update our family picture.  I figured 6 months of not having Whitney on my blog header was long enough.

We have been home for over week and I am just now getting around to getting my blog updated.  Kyle let me, Aubree & Whitney tag along him!  We had a great time!  Jenae stayed home to "help" Chip with calving & go to school.  I felt guilty leaving her home and taking the other girls until she told me "getting to stay with Grandpa & Grandma by myself is paradise!"  She also got so spend a lot of time over at Hope & Ben's house.  It was fun to have Aubree have a chance to be the "big sister".  I actually learned a lot from Aubree, not having Jenae doing the talking and decision making for the both of them.  I was shocked how much Aubree LOVES corn dogs.  When we would go out to eat with Jenae & Aubree, Jenae always orders chicken strips or chicken nuggets off  the kids meal, so I assumed that is what Aubree would want also.  Now I know better!  Aubree would much more prefer a corn dog!  I think Aubree ate 4 corn dogs on our trip! 

One day we were able do some shopping at the Stock Yards & another day Kyle took us to the Cowboy Hall of Fame.  I think it is actually called the National Museum  for Western Heritage, but I went to it when I was younger and then it was call the Cowboy Hall of Fame, so to me that is what it will be referred to the rest of the time in my blog post.  We had a lot of fun there, even Bree had a great time! 

The rodeo went well.  Kyle made it to the final 8 then progressed to the final 4 round.  He didn't draw the steer to win it on, but tried to make a go of it & ended up leaving a little to early and broke the barrier.  It was a heartbreaking run, but that is rodeo!!!

2012 Jamboree

We all survived another year of the Jamboree!  It was a busy weekend, but so fun to watch all the little ones play the game!  Jenae had a great cheering section.  Chip, Marilyn, Hope & Ben all came to watch her games. 
We had everyone over for supper on Saturday night.  Kyle wanted Hope to work with Jenae on her "game".  Jenae's team ended up being the 2012 Champion team! 

Aubree had lots of fun playing out on the play ground equipment.  This is a classic Aubree outfit!  She picked it out from the dress down to her boot!

Bree going into Grammy's class room to get a treat!  She asked Marilyn if she could on her room, Bree knows exactly where Grammy keeps her treats!  Marilyn's room is right across the hall from the gym, so I could keep an eye on her as she went in.  She was thoughtful enough to bring Trey back a treat too.  She came back with 2 suckers.  One Tootsie Pop & one dum dum.  Which one do you think she kept for herself?? :-)
