4th of July

I do not think we could have fit 1 more thing into our 4th of July Celebration if we tried!! With Jenae not cleared by the doctor to ride yet, we did not get to make our annual appearance at the Dunning Jr. Rodeo. We were all very disappointed not to be able to go. It has been our 4th of July for the past 3 year. Jenae was very disappointed not to be rodeoing pn the 4th so my goal was to keep her so busy she didn't have time to think about what she was missing out on. Well, I think we succeed!

We were very surprised to find out that Kyle would be stopping by home for a few hours on the 4th.  I don't know if he can remember a 4th of July that he was home for.  It was so nice to have Kyle join us for some of the Chambers festivities.
First we took in the parade.  The girls got lots of candy!  Whitney was especially happy with candy in both hands.   From the parade we took Kyle home so he could practice quick and me and the girls took the turtles to town to register them for the turtle races. Kyle got to down right as our turtle races were starting.  Our turtle racing was actually successful this year!  Jeane & Aubree both had turtles make it back to the final round and Aubree even had a turtle place!
We had a bite to eat at the park then the girls played some old fashioned games.  They had so much fun.  Jenae really enjoyed getting to see her classmates.

When we were done at the park, we went home and re grouped before heading out to Lacey's house.  We had so much fun!  Jacque & Lacey sure do know how to entertain :-)  We had so much fun!  We went on Ranger ride through the hills and canyons.  My pictures do not do justice to how beautiful it is!  When we came back from our ride we had pie & ice cream then Jacque shot off fireworks.  Whitney was not a fan of the fireworks at first, but at the end she warmed up to the idea of them.
It was a big day full of fun things!!!

I had to work Friday the 5th and didn't needed someone to keep the girls so we spent the night of the 4th at Lacey's and then she kept the girls for me on the 5th.  So thankful she was able to help me out.

The rest of the weekend we stayed close to home to get all caught up house work and try to get organized for the rest of July! It is going to be a busy month!!!

Kyle and the girls at the Chambers 4th of July Parade.   The smiles on their faces says it all!!  At a parade with their Daddy....doesn't get much better than that!

Whitney at the parade with 2 hand fulls of candy.

On our way home from the parade and still 2 handfuls of candy!!

Aubree and 1 of her turtles right before the turtle races.

Jenae and her paint turtle.  I over heard her talking to one of her friends after the races.  She said "Do you want to see my turtles??"  Her friend said "sure"  Jenae said "Won me a dollar!"  it was cute!  It was the tone she said it in.

Jenae getting her turtle in the ring ready to start the race.

Kyle and Whitney watching the turtle races.  I am sure glad Kyle could be there with us.  3 kids and 4 turtles would have been a lot to juggle by myself.

Aubree getting her turtle ready to race.

These are not our turtles, but there were 2 snapping turtles racing a leather back turtle!!!  Kind of crazy!!!

Jenae & Faith doing the 3 legged race at the park.  Aubree was smiling about something!!

Aubree doing the gunny sack race.
Jenae doing the eggs and spoon.
Aubree doing the egg and spoon.
Aubree's hair flying up while playing drop the hanky.  She was one of the younger kids to play the games, but the bigger kids were all so good to her.
Aubree, Jenae Riley, Robert & Colin in the back seat of the ranger.

Whitney just chilling riding on Lacey's lap in the ranger.
The ranger we took our tour of the Anson Ranch in. It was so much fun!!!

Robert, Colin, Riley & Aubree checking out the blooms on the yucca plants.

Whitney loves Copper!

Jenae on the top of a big hill.

The sun setting and some rain clouds in the sky.

This little coon was watching us from the top of a tree.  He was not sure what o think of our bunch.

Jacque starting to get fireworks ready.

Making snakes :-)  Our Grnadma Forre gave us snaps, snakes & smoke bombs every year on the 4th. Brought back memories!!

Kids had so much fun watching Jacque's fireworks display!
