Cheyenne

Jenae and Aubree made their annual trip to Cheyenne with Kyle & Chip. They had a great time as usual!  Poor Bree was sick to her stomach the first day and spent much of it in bed.  By evening she started coming around and by the 2nd morning she was back to normal.

The Morton Family was in Cheyenne the same time as the Kyle so a good time was had by all!   Maybe next year me and Whitney will ne able to go along!

I really did enjoy the one on one time I had with Whitney.   She is growing up so fast!  She might get a little spoiled when her sisters are gone, but she really misses them!  Our last night home by ourselves she said "where is Jenae??? Where did Aubree Joy go???"  She was so happy the next morning to find them home :)
Aubree feeling  better the 2nd day!

The girls called this redneck hairstyles.  Jenae is the model! Donnae is the stylist!

Morning slack!  Everybody is up and ready to rodeo!!:-)

Jenae and her fly mask.  Kyle said if she ropes the dummy 5 times a day her horse can wear it.

Me and Whitney spent a lot of time our side.

Kassie & Melinda came for a visit

We were so happy to have Kassie & Melinda come up for a visit. It was so nice to see them again.  Wished we lived closer to them so we could see them more often.  My girls just adore Kassie.  Marilyn had us all over for supper on Saturday night.

Sunday Kyle was home for a few hours before loading up and heading to Cheyenne.  We managed to get a quick ride in for Aubree & Whitney while he was home. Jenae fell asleep on the couch and Jenae is not a napper.  We knew if she was sleeping there was a reason so we just let her sleep.

Late in the afternoon, Kyle, Chip, Jenae & Aubree all loaded up and headed west of Cheyenne!

Aubree, Whitney & Jenae were sure happy to see Kassie!!

Kassie entertaining Whitney & Aubree

Aubree has turned in to quite the cowgirl!  It was 90 degrees when we went to ride the other day and she insisted on dressing like this!  Complete with chaps and long sleeved shirt!  I said "Aubree, are you sure you want to wear all this, it is really hot outside"  She replied "Yes!  I was to look like a rodeo queen!"  She got Domino going really good around the barrels.  I think Jr. Rodeos are in her near future!

Whitney was so happy to have her Daddy home & get to ride Cinnamon :-)

Summer Trip to Omaha

Our busy summer continues. Marilyn and I took Jenae & Aubree to Omaha for a quick summer outing. We had so much fun and accomplished a lot in just a couple days.  Whitney stayed with my Mom so we could do more things that Jenae & Aubree would enjoy and remember.  Whitney is too little to remember the trip or even know she was missing out on anything.

A huge thank you yo my awesome mother in law for making it a special trip for Jenae and Aubree.

I will try to go on here later and writes some captions under some of the pictures.  But since

Before we left for our trip.

First Stop Chucky Cheese.  It was so much fun!  Jenae & Aubree really enjoyed the games and the pizza was good too!

Then it was off to the pool at the hotel for a swim.  Both girls did really good in the water!  They are both turning into little fish!
.

Tuesday morning we got up bright and early and went to the zoo.  We were there from 9:00-3:30.  I think we saw everything and even took in an IMAX movie.  We took a train ride up and around the zoo to see some of the animals.  That saved our feet a little walking.  Both girls were really good troopers. I think this was my visit to a zoo in 9 years that I did not need a stroller.  The girls are both past the needing a nap stage so we just kept on!  It was so much fun!!!

After the zoo we went back to the hotel and did another round of swimming.  Then got ready for our evening out and about.  We went to Apple bee's for supper.  Marilyn had a really fun surprise in store for the girls. She took them to Build A Bear!  It was such a fun experience.  The girls got to pick the bear, the sound, scent and outfits for the bear.

Rodeo Weekend for the girls!

This past weekend was the girls annual trip with Kyle to some rodeos on Minnesota and Wisconsin. The craziness of the long weekend started on Wednesday when I tried to fit in as many appointments as I possibly could in the morning. We started off at the dentist where Jenae had 3 cavities filled. Then Jenae had a check up on her arm. She received some very good news that she is healing so well and so fast the she is cleared to get back in the saddle again! We have 1 happy cowgirl! After Jenaes doctor appointment we went across the hall for Whitney's belated 18 month check up and shots and Aubree kindergarten physical and shots. It was a long morning, but I was so glad to get so much done in 1 trip to O'Neill! We were not home long before Kyle, Jenae and Aubree were loading up and heading out on the rodeo trail. First stop: Madison, NE for the county fair. The girls met up with my Mom, siblings, nieces and nephews for a fun evening of carnival rides. When Kyle was ready to head out after the rodeo mom met up with him and away they went to Minnesota. They had 2 other cowboys along so they had a full load! Jenae was not happy Grandpa didn't go, but with the other guys going, their was either room for Chip or the girls & they were not willing to give up their seats!

From the sounds of it the girls had a great time & I think Kyle really enjoyed having them along!  I need to have Kyle get on here and write the details of their trip.  I will see if I can talk him into that!

Whitney and I went to Mom's for the weekend.  We had a big weekend of sorting and packing.  Getting things ready for her to move when the contractor says they ready to start working on the house she can be ready to move!  We were so busy that I didn't even take time to hardly pick up my camera!  Erin and her kids were not around & since Jenae & Aubree were with Kyle Whitney was the only girl in the bunch!  She didn't seem to mind...She is pretty crazy over Tyson :-)

Dad's birthday was Sunday.  It seems so strange to be sorting through this things and packing up the house on his birthday. I had a  nice time with my Mom & Sisters so that helped make the day a little easier!

Whitney at her belated 18 month check up.
She had to have 3 shots and got so worked up that she threw up from crying so hard.

Aubree's Kindergarten physical. She had to get 3 shots also,
but was super tough and didn't cry at all!
