Rodeo Weekend!!

We had a full busy weekend of hitting the rodeo trail with Kyle this past weekend.  He actually took me and Whitney along with him this time. 

We started out in Burwell Thursday night where he rode a bronc.  Mat & Elaine Zutavern made the trip over to Burwell for the evening.  It is always fun to see them and catch up!

Friday morning we were in Burwell for slack.  It was the coolest Burwell Rodeo I have ever attend!  We were actually wearing coats on Friday morning for slack!! 

Friday night Kyle rode a bronc in Wahoo and then roped a calf in the slack at Arlington.  His Aunt Linda brought her grand kids over to watch the slack.  Aubree & Cady hit it off really well and went right to playing!  That night we went to stay with some friends of Chip's, Gary & Paula Johnson. They took good care of us and fixed a nice breakfast Saturday morning.  It was a very relaxing morning!  The girls had a great time playing with the dolls, barbies and of course "White Dog" Paula's house dog. 

Saturday night we were back to Wahoo for Kyle's 2nd bronc & he also had his calf & steer that night.  The Morton Family was there also which made it so much fun!  They are such a neat family & we enjoy them so much.  The only problem with them is that they live 6 hours from us!  Linda and her grand kids came over to Wahoo to watch Kyle.  The kids had great fun playing with them again!

We got home about 1:30 Sunday morning.  I spent much of the day unpacking and doing laundry from the weekend.  Kyle & Chip packed up & headed to McCook.  Kyle ended up getting a horn in the chin at McCook and wound up in ER getting stitches.  Kind of a bummer way to end his weekend!!

Happy Cowgirl Whitney!  She was so excited to get to spend the weekend with her Daddy on the rodeo trail!

My girls are big fans of the trick riding.  Burwell usually pulls trick riders in for their rodeo and it is something that all 3 of my girls enjoy watching. Here is Aubree with one of the trick riders.  She is also an actress in the movie "Cowgirls & Angels"

The rodeo lifestyle is hard on little girls!!!  I think Whitney was asleep before we got pulled out of the fairgrounds!

Whitney finally found a dog that was as excited to play with her as she was to play with it!  Thanks Jessica for keeping Whitney busy for a bit!
