The simple life

We had a nice weekend. We kept busy but it was not a crazy busy just a fun busy if that make sense. Friday night we went over to Chip & Marilyn's for a bon fire. A couple of years ago we had several bon fires, but the last couple of years we have not taken the time for them. Actually I think it was Aubree's first bon fire ever. We all had a really good time. Jenae and Aubree had a blast playing in the creek. Aubree ended up stripping down and playing naked in the creek. She hates to have wet clothes on so when she got a little wet off came the clothes. The girls did not have any dry clothes to put on so Kyle ended taking them back to the house and giving them a quick bath. When they got back we made s'mores and the girls and Kyle build sand castles. After dark Chip set off fireworks. It was the perfect night for a bon fire!

Saturday it was super windy here. We spent most of the day in the house. It was warm so I did fill up the little swimming pool for Jenae and Aubree to play in. They had fun until a huge bumble bee landed on Aubree's arm. Jenae freaked out and started screaming "Aubree got stung by a bee" then Aubree stared screaming. When they both calmed down I found out the bee never did sting her thank goodness.

Sunday was another nice day. I think it was maybe 80 with a little breeze. We had church and grabbed a bite to eat before we headed home. Jenae and I headed outside right away to make the most of the beautiful day. We worked on their play house, worked in garden and planted some strawberries. Jenae was a real trooper because she wanted to go back to the creek to play. I told her once we got all of our "work" done we could go. Kyle had stayed in the house to try to get Bree down for a nap, but was not successful. We headed out to the creek and played for a couple of hours. It was a lot of fun. The creek banks are really sandy. They were tired out when we got back to the house. It took Aubree all but 2 minutes to fall asleep once back to the house.
