Ok, it is time to play catch up with my blog! We have been busy!!!
I survived a 3 week stretch with Kyle gone. It was a LONG 3 week & it was really hard on the all of us. Jenae was a really good little helper & really helps a lot with Whitney when Kyle is gone. He did make the most of is 3 weeks & did really well. As of today he is 9th in the world standings. We are keeping our fingers & toes crossed that things keep going well for him.
The end of June we went to Atkinson to meet my sister Lacey & her family to take the kids swimming. We have had a very hot & dry summer. Wouldn't you know the one time we plan to go swimming an afternoon storm would brew. There was some lightning when we first got to Atkinson, but it soon cleared off. Unfortunately the lifeguards were wanting the day off & said they were not going to open the pool up. We had several disappointed kids!! Jacque's sister has a pool in her back yard & he lined it up for us to take the kids there. We had a great time! Whitney LOVED the water!
When we got home from swimming, Hope & the boys were over at Chip & Marilyn's house. We went over to visit for the evening & had a bonfire for the kids to roast marshmallows.
It was a big day, but it was fun. We skipped church on that Sunday. I spent much of the day getting things ready for the Dunning Jr. Rodeo & getting bags packed for the girls to go meet up with Kyle at some rodeos in Minnesota & Wisconsin.
