Enjoying some family time

We really enjoyed our family time while  Kyle was home.  The 3 days went really fast & I don't think any of us were ready for him to get back on the rodeo trail.   We just have to get though September & the 2012 rodeo season will come to a close.  Right now Kyle is sitting 16th in the world standings & the top 15 make the NFR, we are needing The September rodeos to treat him well!

While  he was home he had a chance to practice roping & steer wrestling quite a bit, but with practicing that much it does not leave much time to do much else.  Besides practicing we also managed to fit in buying a new pickup!  The new purchase was bitter-sweet.   Our old pickup had been very good to us, but  with 316,000 mile on it with the original engine &transmission in it we knew some major repair bills would be just around the corner.  In addition to the upcoming repairs, we also got to the point where we were worried about it breaking down on the way to the rodeo.

Aubree got to go with Kyle to a rodeo in Hastings.  I think this was the first rodeo she got to go to without me or Jenae.  From the sounds of it she had a great time!  It was hard on us to send Kyle off  again but as Kyle says"there is light at the end of the tunnel" We just have to get through September!

Kyle & Aubree riding over to Chip & Marilyn's place.  It was super windy out & Kyle pushed Aubree's hat way down to keep it on for the ride.
Kyle's cheering crowd for his bull dogging practice.  They were all really good & cheered when Kyle made a good run.

Kyle & Jenae with the 2005 before we traded it off.  It

Since Kyle will not be home for Aubree's birthday we had a little birthday celebration before he left.
