Butterfly Pavilion

I am really getting behind on my blog.  We need to stay home so I do not have so much to write about : -)

The last day of our vacation to Colorado was a big day.  We got up & checked out of our hotel room ,it took us a awhile to check out as we were looking for a TV remote, our room was really nice & had 2 TV's but when we went to check out we only had 1 remote. We emptied all of our bags, looked under beds, the couch in trash cans & finally gave up.  We have come to the conclusion that we must have only had 1 remote & with out knowing it just took it back & forth between the 2 TV's.

Once we were out of the hotel we stopped & picked Sandy & headed Casper WY.  Kyle had made the short go there & we were needing to get him back home for a couple days.  We stopped by a Butterfly Pavilion on our way.  It was super busy & full of people!  I do not handle those kind of crowds very well especially with a stroller. I felt like I was always in someones way.  The butterflies were really neat & it was something fun to see.  Aubree really got in to it.  Jenae was coming down with a head cold & did not get as much out of it as Aubree did.  The pavilion was hot & muggy like a green house & with coming down with a cold, I think she got to feeling yucky after getting hot.  Jenae thought it would be better to visit in the winter so it would not have been so hot in there!

After we left the pavilion we made our way to Casper.  Whitney was not a very good little traveler while we were on our trip & if she was not sleeping she was crying.  She fell asleep shortly after we left Denver & we thought we would drive as long as she slept.  Good thing we had snacks along & a full tank of gas as she slept the entire 3.5 hour trip to Casper.  We were all ready for a good meal by the time we got there & thought Sanfords looked like a fun place to eat.  The food was good & it was a fairly entertaining place to eat.

The girls were so happy to see Kyle once we finally met up with him.  He did not draw the best steer in the pen, but made a nice run on him & got a check in the average.

We decided it would be easier to drive all night to get home instead of getting everyone out & unloaded to sleep a few hours in a hotel.  We had 7 passengers in our 7 passenger van so there was not much extra room, but we made it!  We rolled in to our place around 6:00 Sunday morning.  I think we were all so happy to be home :-)

A pretty butterfly.

Aubree & a butterfly. She loved all the pretty butterflies!
When we got to Casper we found a really fun place to eat.  We had never been to a Sanfords before, but it had lots of cool things in & around it & the food was yummy too!

It rained when we got to the rodeo grounds & after the rain there was a really pretty double rainbow.  It was a full rainbow, but I could not get far enough away from it to take the picture of the full rainbow.
Jenae must have got a hold of my camera & took this picture of Kyle after he ran his steer.
